ENVIBE is predominantly government funded offering free hands on support and recognition to businesses in Croydon who want to make positive improvements to their environmental performance. Seltrans has worked with over 50 businesses in Croydon achieving an average 11% reduction in car journeys which has resulted in businesses saving money on fuel and maintenance costs.
One business already to have benefited is Futures Supplies and Services Ltd. They have received a £5000 match funded grant which has contributed towards four pool bikes, shower facilities and one of their hybrid cars. The Seltrans team will be available throughout the morning to inform about the funding and support packages they can provide.
This event will be attended by the District Centre Manager for Purley Way and will be a great opportunity to network with other local businesses that, as a result of travel planning, are saving money and have happier and healthier staff.
